A new health, fitness and wellbeing show, Good Health Gulf, is taking place in Dubai on 5-7 April this year. The event seeks to join the worldwide fight against obesity, while offering informative advice about health and fitness.
Statistics show obesity, diabetes and heart disease have dramatically increased in the Middle East over the past 15 years, with diabetes prevalence amongst the highest in the world (Source: World Diabetes Foundation). Rapid economic development and significant changes in lifestyle have resulted in less exercise, more smoking, bad nutrition and increased obesity in the region, with little argument that many of us are living increasingly unhealthy lives.
Good Health Gulf is designed to offer something for everyone. It is not just aimed at people who already consider themselves to be leading a healthy lifestyle, but also for those who are serious about changing habits and improving their mind, body and general wellbeing. The show aims to provide answers to a whole variety of health and fitness matters, with a number of well-blended complementary elements, including demonstration areas, fitness features, sports and activities, free seminars and workshops, taster treatments, nutrition and healthy eating advice, life coaching, shopping opportunities and much more.
In addition, the Good Health Gulf show will run parallel with RIPPED LIVE ? The Bodybuilding Show. RIPPED LIVE is a unique event for bodybuilding enthusiasts at every level, with demonstration stages and presentation theatres, access to experts, free seminars, and workshops, as well as the opportunity for visitors to meet regional and international celebrity bodybuilders. The event also offers trade opportunities to distributors and manufacturers seeking retailers and agents for their products, providing an ideal platform for new product launches and ideas.
Good Health Gulf is brought to the region by Indigo Media and Events Ltd, organisers of successful Good Health Show in the UK, in partnership with Global Event Management (GEM), a leading event and experiential marketing company in the region. Eddie Milton, Event Director at Indigo Media and Events, said bringing The Good Health Show to the region was a natural next step, with the partnership with GEM providing essential local market event organisation expertise and knowledge.
Eddie continued; ?With the ever increasing and justified concerns for better health and wellbeing in the region, we are already getting a great response to Good Health Gulf?. He added; ?Visitors will be able to talk to a huge number of experts informally, on a range of subjects, whilst receiving sound advice and dispelling many health and fitness myths?.
James Magee, Managing Director of Global Event Management said: ?We are absolutely delighted with the response from the media we have spoken to and those in the world of health and fitness?. He added; ?The feedback we have received supports our belief that with nothing currently like this in the region, and the increasingly serious threat to the region?s health, a large scale event completely dedicated totally to health, fitness and wellbeing is an exciting prospect?.
Good Health Gulf takes place 5-7 April at Dubai International Marine Club, with doors opening at 12noon on Thursday 5th for ladies only and to the general public between 4-7pm, and then 10-5pm daily on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th. A full programme of special events will be announced soon.
