You hear the terms veganism and vegetarianism a lot, and may not think that there is much of a distinction cheap five fingers shoes , but there is. Although veganism is a subset of vegetarianism, it is quite a different animal, pardon the pun. This was quite a shock for many people and it just goes to show how easy it is to let yourself be tricked into eating meat products. Now, fortunately, McDonald?s uses 100 percent vegetable oil, consisting mostly of corn, canola and soybean oils, so you can enjoy their fries no matter how strict your vegan diet. In choosing the right vegan or vegetarian diet, it is useful to know just how much stricter veganism is than vegetarianism. Well, let?s just say that veganism has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to eating animals or animal by products, including eggs and dairy products. Some vegetarians will consume eggs and dairy and as such they are known as ovo-lacto-vegetarians. Other vegetarians will only eat eggs, but no dairy. These are known as ovo-vegetarians. But in order be a vegan, you must not eat any animals or animal by products, and the rules are quite strict. Which is why being a vegan takes a lot of dedication. Indeed, many vegans won?t even eat honey. And for some very strict vegans, their lifestyle goes beyond dietary concerns into ethical ones. It is not uncommon for vegans to refuse to wear clothing made from animal products. Do you think the vegan diet is right for you?
