ChildFund International is seeking an International Finance Manager (IFM) to serve as the primary lead and vital link between ChildFund headquarters Finance and Operations Division and ChildFund Regional and National Offices (NOs).? Primary support is in the areas of grant accounting, National Office accounting policy and procedure development and training needs for international finance staff administering a $200M international operation budget.? The IFM leads financial system enhancement and implementation efforts at the National, Area and Project Office level and ensures a continuous training presence in those offices.
As a finance and accounting expert, the IFM provides technical support to National and Program Offices with complex environments, especially in the areas of grant accounting and other specialized accounting policies and procedures.? In collaboration with the Regional Finance Managers, s/he provides continuous feedback, assessment and strategies to address grant accounting and finance challenges of NOs. ??S/he assists with follow up on corrective actions taken on NO audits as it relates to Finance and Accounting, identifies trends in audit findings and develops methods to address them proactively.
As a training leader, the IFM ensures a high level of continuous finance training presence in ChildFund offices, for both finance and non-finance staff, to ensure that ChildFund International systems are utilized appropriately and Finance and Accounting Policies are adhered to properly.
The IFM assists with general management functions around assisting to fill vacancies in finance units, ensuring continuity of financial leadership, and developing and maintaining standard Policy and Procedure manuals for the Regional Offices, National Offices and existing Project offices.?

QUALIFICATIONS????????????????????????????
Required:
- Bachelor?s degree in accounting or closely related discipline or equivalent relevant
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting with a minimum 2 years of experience in not-for-profit accounting and financial reporting
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, grant accounting, internal controls, segregation of duties, fixed assets and financial reporting
- Good working knowledge of computerized accounting and report writing systems
- Computer literacy and aptitude in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Fluency in written and oral English
- Experience in development of training plans and delivery
- Travel required

- Certification CPA or CMA
- Experience working with senior management
- Experience with Business Objects report writer
- Experience with federal grant accounting
- Experience with researching and implementing new accounting standards for business changes
