Straight ahead is a huge locked gate that can only be opened through a retinal scanner. On this area, you will also find a merchant and a typewriter. It is best advised to head straight to the typewriter and save your progress. You might never know when an error on your game might occur or any other reasons that can cause loss of data on your previous accomplishments. The typewriter is inside the warehouse a few distances away from the locked gate. You will also find a note entitled ?Village?s Last Defense?. The note talks about Leon?s capability to survive and overcome all the obstacles that the Ganados had planned of taking him down. According to the note, Leon could destroy the entire village that they could no longer wait for the egg to hatch inside his body. Thus, they have changed their top priorities from hunting Luis to ambushing the American agent.
To be able to access the locked gate, you need to get to the south. You can take a ride on those moving platforms which will get you to the other side. Enemies are encountered and you are going to shoot them as moving targets.
As you manage to get to the other side, you can check the room for items before going down the stairs. Exactly going down from the first set of stairs is a wooden path that leads to the west. Instruct Ashley to stay behind and proceed to the wooden path where a treasure has been hidden.
The wooden path leads to a tunnel and you have to be careful because two Ganados will surprise you with their attacks near the entrance. Keep following that tunnel by climbing up the ladder. One more enemy will be encountered before you can take the treasure from the chest. You should obtain the Yellow Cats eye.
Go back to Ashley?s location and continue heading down the stairs. A merchant is waiting you up-ahead and a typewriter for saving your progress.
